groonga-server-common software package provides Fulltext search engine (metapackage for server use), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install groonga-server-common
groonga-server-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the groonga-server-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep groonga-server-common *
You will get with groonga-server-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
